| A Personal Assistant (PA) is an individual who provides personal care to a person with a severe disability by providing assistant with activities of daily living that the individual would typically perform if they did not have a disability. People that work in this capacity can also be called Personal Care Attendants or Direct Service Workers (which is a much broader term for the type of work that is provided). | ||
