| Welcome to the
Louisiana Community-Integrated Personal Assistance Services
and Supports Project (CPASS) website. Both the website and
the curriculum were developed through a grant which was
awarded to Louisiana in 2003 from the Centers for Medicare
and Medicaid. The purpose of the project was to develop a
curriculum which could be used to help providers of services
better assist individuals with psychiatric disabilities.
You will find within this website, information for both
providers and recipients which are intended to help
facilitate a more collaborative working relationship. The
curriculum was written by the staff at Boston University
Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation, and to date it has
been useful in training staff throughout Louisiana on
communication and problem solving techniques that can be
useful in working with not just with individuals with
psychiatric disabilities, but those across disability types. |
